A Second Opinion.

The classes are divided in three parts:
1) Students of any age perform for some minutes anything they like (pieces, studies, technical exercises…);
2) After the performance I would suggest for a few minutes which improvements might be helpful and which way of practice could help to reach these improvements;
3) The student’s teacher or watching colleagues query what are the reasons and intentions of the suggestions and/or present their own pedagogical experiences on how to reach the improvements. During phase 3 the student may listen to the comments or leave the room, whatever the teacher prefers.
As teachers know their students better and for a long time it is certainly not possible for external colleagues to evaluate all the qualities and needs of students after such short performances. The limited conditions of online sound and picture quality make judgements even more difficult. The main goal of these classes is the exchange of opinions.
